History
Founded in 1990 by the Wetanson restaurant family and inspired by their beloved old family-style haunts in Queens, Tony’s grew from a neighborhood dining room into a New York fixture. The Times Square location opened in 2002 and now feeds Broadway crowds by the thousand on peak nights, with the founders’ grandchildren carrying the tradition forward.
What to Order
The canon of Italian-American comfort, sized for the table: rigatoni alla vodka, chicken parmigiana, veal marsala, linguine with white clam sauce and meatballs that arrive like planets.
